Plaza de España

As you head south, away from the River and the Historic center, and head towards the newer center you will come across the major Plaza of España. It's situated where Don Jaime I and Alfonso I end and where Coso street meets the big Paseo of Independencia.

In a nutshell:

This area is considered the town center and for good reason.  It's where the old center meets the new one and it's the hub of culture, business and transportation for the city.  You'll also find important architecture, museums, monuments, shopping, restaurants and bars.  What more could you ask for?
